Sandra McCarthy RMT
Position:RMT
Biography:
Sandra is a graduate of the Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic, with over three decades of clinical
experience. She has been in clinical practice since 1990 and brings a thoughtful, solution-focused approach to
care, grounded in extensive hands-on experience and a deep understanding of how the body heals.
Her treatment approach draws from a broad and integrated skill set that includes Swedish massage, craniosacral
therapy, muscle energy technique and more. The nervous system is the gatekeeper of change in the body. When
regulated, healing, growth, and supportive adaptive change can occur. When dysregulated, often experienced as
fight, flight, or freeze, healthy change can be more difficult to achieve and sustain.
Through her manual therapy approach, Sandra gently brings coherence to the autonomic nervous system, and,
begins the corrective process to lessen and resolve the underlying causes of physical symptoms.
Sandra brings this approach to address and wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Sandra is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered
Massage Therapists of Ontario (RMTAO).
